May 2023 – As the spring season blooms, Hidden Springs Senior Living has an exciting lineup of activities and events planned for the month of May. Our residents can look forward to a variety of engaging and enjoyable experiences designed to promote their overall wellness and happiness.

For those with a sweet tooth, we’ll be hosting refreshing lemonade socials (National Lemonade Day – May 7) along with delicious ice cream sundae parties. Our community will also be visited by talented music guests (Fiddle Playing by Jimmy, Passage Creek Rising, and John Landis) to provide some uplifting tunes to our residents’ ears.

In the spirit of spring, we will be encouraging our residents to make bird feeders and beautiful crafts including flowers and jewelry. We’ll also be getting festive for the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo, with special celebrations and delicious food to enjoy.

HSSL residents can look forward to participating in various indoor and outdoor activities, including bingo, trivia, scenic drives, and exercises to stay active and energized. We’ll be organizing a reading club and a paint-and-sip session for those looking to engage in their creative side. We’ll also be visiting local churches for special luncheons, singing hymns, and have pastor visits.  And for those who prefer to relax and unwind, we’ll be hosting front porch get-togethers and serving refreshing mocktails for National Wine Day (May 25). We’ll even be getting a little messy with tie-dye activities and baking sessions.

In addition, we’ll also be celebrating Nurses Week (May 6-12) to honor and appreciate the hardworking and compassionate nurses who play a vital role in the HSSL community. Of course, we won’t forget about Mother’s Day (May 14), and have planned a special celebration for all the wonderful mothers in our community.

As the month comes to a close, we’ll also be taking a moment to reflect, pay tribute, remember and honor the sacrifices of those who served our country by observing Memorial Day (May 29).

Overall, May is going to be a wonderful month full of fun and engaging activities that will bring our residents closer together and help them make new memories. We can’t wait to share these special moments with our beloved residents and community members!
