The Certified Nursing Assistant, Direct Care Aide, Nurse Aide provides personal care and daily living assistance to residents, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety. They play a vital role in supporting independence while helping with everyday needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, grooming, mobility)
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping tasks
  • Observe and report changes in resident health, behavior, or needs to nursing staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment
  • DCA class offered on-site

Medication Technician provides direct resident care and support while ensuring the safe administration of medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role combines compassionate caregiving with critical responsibility for medication management to promote resident health, comfort, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living
  • Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
  • Take and record vital signs, weight, and other health indicators
  • Administer prescribed medications according to community policies and physician orders
  • Document medication administration accurately and report resident responses
  • Observe and promptly report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
  • Current Medication Aide/Med Tech certification in VA
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and medication orders
  • Compassionate, dependable, and skilled in building positive resident relationships
